WHAT TO EXPECT
Before Your Visit
- Avoid using any retinoids, exfoliants, or active skincare products 3-5 days before treatment.
- Do not shave the treatment area (especially for the lip area) 24 hours prior.
- Let your provider know if you have any active skin conditions or cold sores.
During Your Visit
- A numbing cream will be applied to reduce discomfort.
- A plasma device will be used to emit targeted energy to the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin.
- The procedure generally takes 20-30 minutes depending on the treatment area.
After Your Visit
- Expect some scabbing, swelling, and redness in the treated area for 5-7 days.
- Avoid sun exposure and apply a healing ointment as directed by your provider.
- The full healing process may take 1-2 weeks, with best results showing in 4-6 weeks.
- For more severe issues, additional treatments may be needed, but results after first treatment can last years.
